  • Service providers that help us distribute e‑mails or host the Site. They act on our instructions and must implement POPIA‑level safeguards.

We never sell your data, and any cross‑border transfer will occur only where the recipient country affords a level of protection equal to or better than POPIA (section 72).


6. Security Safeguards

7. Retention

We keep your contact details only for as long as you remain subscribed plus a further 12 months to evidence compliance with POPIA’s auditing obligations, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.


8. Your POPIA Rights

As a data subject you may:

  1. Request access to the personal information we hold;

  2. Ask for correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant or excessive data (section 24) popia.co.za;

  3. Object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances;

  4. Withdraw consent to direct marketing at any time (every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link);

  5. Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (see §9).

We will respond within a reasonable time and, where required, within the timelines prescribed by POPIA.
